My BSR finished 3rd in USGT this weekend and 1st in our Porsche Cup series! However, one of the big hits early on in the race caused me to lose two weights, which put me under weight and got me disqualified. I'm just glad the car stayed together after those hits and I was able to recover after being about a lap down after the first few laps.

I've started building my car and have a couple of questions.
1. The diff. This question has been asked before (but I couldn't see a reply). Has anyone built it using Team Associated green slime to try and seal it? If yes, have the leaks gone away?
2. Sway/roll bars. Are there alternatives out there as the Hobbyking ones don't seem to be in stock (and seem expensive for Hobbyking).
I've only just got the spur in place at the moment. When I get to the point where I've got the wishbones on, I should be able to say if some Schumacer parts will fit (I've got quite a few spares from the Mi4 and Mi5 chassis).
Thanks in advance,
Tony.

2. What he said ^. Go XRAY, it's expensive, but it works and you don't buy 3 brands trying to find ones that work. Tho, see my list above, post #106

I'm building this to try out on our small high-traction track. I picked up the Team C TR10 sway bar kit from flea-bay it was $21 with free shipping. This is the complete kit, includes full set of front/rear sway bars (6) total with all the mounting hardware. Look up Team C TR10 /TC10 parts there are some local and other come from overseas.

Question and if it has already been asked I apologize.
Is this a car that would do well as a VTA?

I put the wildfire diff in (I had 2 in my spares bx )dropped right in.The firebolt is a 2wd buggy.I tightened up the screws in the stock diff and it seems to be ok now so I put it back in.
Car would do very well as a VTA.I might retire the cyclone as my VTA ride.

Long story short... a 5.5 will most likely be too much for high bite carpet.

didn't think it would handle itBut it wasn't aimed at mod drivers.Esp 5.5--It's a killer VTA /USGT car;similar to the xray T2r's of 08-09 were.21.5 thru even a 10.5 and I would trust it.Oh by the way the HK sale is over.

Can anyone confirm what connector is on the battery leads for the ARR version? It looks like XT60 maybe?

I was stripping spur gears in another car. I finally took out the motor and noticed loose screws on the lower motor mount. Food for thought.

Well....... *sigh* Took it to the track (new CRC black carpet) on last weekend. Had some pretty good runs in...then the spur stripped...tried another one.. and it stripped too. Another racer stopped by my pit to look at it and noticed the problem right away. The chassis has way too much flex for mod on that extremely high bit surface. He thinks I would need to set my gear mesh way tighter than normal to compensate.

Were you running a 48 or 64 pitch spur gear?
