Your entry gives you a pit space under the big tent with table, chair, and power. The only thing I would recommend is a power strip.

I ran the last two years at the Tamiya track for RROC and based on that they will provide power and a large tent but extension cords and power strips would be good just in case you aren't directly under the power box.
If you want to bring an EZ up, you can only use it under the patio cover and there will be limited spots there, that is where most of the Invitational racers will be located.
There will be plenty of tables available so no need to bring a table. The plastic chairs are very sturdy but if you have a chair that you feel more comfortable using then you can bring that but there will be plenty of chairs.
Just my 2$

Actually under the patio cover is reserved for Invitational class drivers. Open class drivers will be limited to the large tent. EZ-ups are not permitted.

This is the same as it has been the last two years at the Reedy Race.

Scotty will send an email to all participants with some basic guidelines which will include parking areas, etc.

Default Race Information

For most, Memorial Day weekend signifies the beginning of summer, but for those of us in the world of R/C racing, it signifies the start of one of the most historic and prestigious races our industry has ever known, the Reedy International Touring Car Race of Champions! We are fortunate to be able to once again return to the world-class Tamiya America Raceway. As the event approaches, we want to give everyone some information that will help make your experience the best it can be.

Registration/check-in and tire handout/sales begin on Wednesday, May 25th from 1-5pm. This will allow us to take care of a majority of the check-ins so that on Thursday morning racers are able to concentrate on pit set up and car preparation. For those not able to make in on Wednesday, registration/check-in and tire handout/sales will continue on Thursday morning.

PLEASE BRING YOUR TRANSPONDER NUMBER WITH YOU AT CHECK-IN. There will be no pit space reservations on Wednesday. Only sponsors and Invitational drivers will have pre-assigned pit spaces. Any articles left in pit spaces on Wednesday will be collected by the Reedy Race staff. Tables, chairs, and electricity will be provided for all racers. You will need to provide your own power strip for your pit space. No EZ-Ups are allowed. Racers must pit in a designated pit space.

Schedule:
MAY 25 CHECK IN AND TIRE HANDOUT 1-5 PM

MAY 26 GATES OPEN AT 7 AM
CHECK-IN AND TIRE HAND OUT
DRIVERS MEETING AT 8:15 AM
PRACTICE BEGINS AT 9 AM

MAY 27
GATES OPEN AT 7AM
OPEN PRACTICE (MODIFIED, 17.5, 13.5) 730-830 AM
RACING/QUALIFYING BEGINS AT 9AM

MAY 28
GATES OPEN AT 7AM
OPEN PRACTICE (MODIFIED, 17.5, 13.5) 730-830 AM
RACING/QUALIFYING BEGINS AT 9AM

MAY 29
GATES OPEN AT 7AM
OPEN PRACTICE (MODIFIED, 17.5, 13.5) 730-830 AM
RACING BEGINS AT 9 AM

Tires:
The official handout tire of the 2016 Reedy Race is the Sweep EXP EVO-R 36. To ensure fairness and consistency, all race and practice tires supplied for the event are from the same production batch. Tires will be available starting on Wednesday at 1:00 PM ($30.00/set). Open class drivers are allowed to tech four sets of marked and numbered control tires for use during qualifying and the main events. Marked control tires must be used for practice seeding rounds but do not count towards a racer’s four set allotment. Drivers may buy as many tires as they wish for practice. Open class drivers are allowed to use tire warmers and the traction additive of their choice.

Body Tuck Clarification
To improve the quality of the on track action and reduce penalties for incidental contact, it is now each racer’s individual responsibility to prevent their own body from tucking. Aftermarket products such as Protoform’s Anti-Tuck Body Stiffeners (#1721-00) are widely available. Homemade solutions such as body posts mounted to the shock tower have existed for years. Use of such devices is not mandatory. If you choose not to use one you are doing so at your own risk. Please be aware that rough driving penalties will still be handed out. If the collision warrants a penalty, the appropriate penalty will be given

Facility:
We are honored to be allowed to race at one of the premier race facilities in the USA and we expect all racers to treat the facility with respect. We will have trash receptacles located around the track and we expect everyone take care of the area to ensure we leave it as clean as it was when we arrived.

Parking:
The parking situation is something that everyone must pay attention to. It is imperative that everyone follows the guidelines we have laid out to ensure a smooth event and allow us the opportunity to return to the Tamiya Raceway in the future.

Below are the parking guidelines everyone is expected to follow. I have attached an aerial view of the Tamiya America track facility. The photo is your reference of where you may and may NOT park. We ask everyone to strictly observe where parking is allowed and not allowed.

Parking Area 1:
Raceway Parking Lot: We have laid out a temporary CMB parking area next to the open pit area. Please enter through ramp A and exit through ramp B. Park in the designated spots. Please enter the lot with care. We want to keep dust to a bare minimum.

Parking Area 2:
Orion street parking: There is Limited Street parking on Orion leading up to the Tamiya race facility. Pay close attention of the No-Parking red curbing and fire hydrants. You will be towed if you park illegally.

Parking Area 3:
Pursuit street parking: There is ample street parking on Pursuit. Pursuit is located directly above Orion and it’s the street above the school adjacent to the Tamiya Circuit. Please observe any parking limitations. If you park on Pursuit, it Is less than 3 minutes to walk to the Tamiya Circuit.

Please be aware of the following:
There is NO parking in the Astronic parking lot (former Tamiya building and parking lot). Astronic is a military contractor whose employees frequently work weekends. The building manager will call the police if he sees racers parking in their lot.

There is NO parking at Pepsi or the Church/School.

There is absolutely no parking in the driveway leading up to the Tamiya circuit and the Astronic warehouse. Semi-trucks, Fed EX and UPS are constantly entering and exiting.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding regarding our parking options. It’s really important we do not create excessive noise while we park in consideration of our neighbors.

All of us on the Reedy staff thank you for joining us for one of the most historic races in our industry. It is an event that brings the best from around the world to celebrate and now remember one of the greatest men our industry has known, Mike Reedy.
