I do run Sanwa. I'm familiar with expo but not arc.

Myself and a few others did try LiFe at around the same time. The pack came from GM / Graupner, and it was very similar in feel to 5 cell mod. Probably a touch more kick at the start of the run (as the voltage was a touch higher) but more drop off as the discharge curve wasn't as flat.

However, by that time, LiPo was fully established, and despite a couple of manufactures being keen to go down the LiFe route, it didn't happen. I thought it might happen if there were a lot of serious safety issues with LiPo. There have been a few for sure, but not as many as I thought there might have been.
This makes me want to try LiFe more than ever.

Main reason I use LiFePo4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOjTN2Bnoh8

I don't race anyways - I only drift. So, outright speed/power/high-voltage from a LiPo isn't important to me and is not needed at all.

That wasn't a lipo fire, they caught the flammable spray they were using to cool the motor on fire.

^

Just a silly fire because they sprayed an upside down aerosol can. LiPo explosions are supposed to be more violent. I believe if a LiPo exploded in front of those 2 guys, they would have lost their faces.

It seems to be a bit like expo, but you can set the amount in comes in and which point in the throttle, unlike expo, which is always that smooth curve.
I used -20 'Rate' and I believe I had the 'Point' set at 40.

Might be something to try

Hey...if you ever want to convert those Zippy or Turnigy LiFePo4 packs into Hardcase (or, if you're just looking for other batteries, LiPos or other RC electronics and other parts)...hit up John at http://www.rcjuice.com, or hit hom up here on RCTech..his S/N is 'RC Juice'.

He's a really nice helpful guy and is sending me a bunch of hard-cases (just the empty cases themselves). These cases are pretty much impossible to find...but John can get them!
