Pit area tool box?
Just wondering what you guys use both to transport your gear, and what you use at your pit table tool box wise, car carrier wise. I need something to start carrying tools and spares and such.. Just wondering what's out there, pics would be helpful too (for all you guys who love to show off your setups)
Thanks, Bill :tire: :tire: |

Here is my post from another thread! At home and the race track, post your pics and ideas. Here are some of mine. http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/4...25606ge.th.jpg This is at home; I have a spare room that is dedicated to RC  http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/9...25752ly.th.jpg Buggy and the REVO, buggy needs to be cleaned very badly http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/8...25648ij.th.jpg Picture of my most current car Pro4 setup for carpet! http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/6...25775yk.th.jpg Tool set up, this is so handy at the track keeps the tools in order and easy to grab! http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/8...25782kz.th.jpg This is my custom setup, I used a tackle box from Wal-Mart and adapted a computer power supply to run my ice charger. I have a battery cooling tray to cool the batteries when I get done with a race. I used a CPU cooling fan from a computer that is mounted under the batteries. This works great it will cool a pack in about 5 min or so after a race. http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/4...25796ew.th.jpg Cooling tray! http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/1...25826nh.th.jpg Computer power supply with dual banana jacks, I can run any charger from my box, and this allows me to transfer the power from the bottom of my box to the top. http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/3...25834ut.th.jpg Power switch to run my custom tackle box  http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/9...25883fb.th.jpg This is the box from the top all ready to go, the batteries are mounted in the cooling tray, and I also have a switch that can control the fan. There is also actually still a lot of storage space in the box. I can still get a storage tray in the lower level of the box. When I am at the track I remove it to allow good air flow to the power supply. This box runs great and will run all day long. So post your pics of your setups and anything custom that you may have created. Also any feedback of my setup would be great thanks a lot Chris |
bill,
go to lowes. in the section that they have all the rubbermaid containers, they also have plastic Plano parts cases. usually around $4.00 ea. i use those and one of the 5 or 6 gallon flip top lids. clear bottom with a blue lid. around $6.50 keep an eye on the sunday paper Sportsmart ad. they have sales on the tackle boxes usually 25% off. |
This is the latest adn greatest....

Haha, exactly the same as the Magic F8 Bag, and it's the bomb! I just got my TM-bag today and it's by far the most sophisticated bag i've seen and used.
