I have the skyrc ts50 which is same thing and nice and small and cheaper than HW for an F1 blinky 21.5 but it does randomly go into reverse sometimes if you spin out and get on the power again but only for a split second and then corrects itself and have max timing on my Team Powers Actinium motor and have been told to drop the timing down by the importer and problem should go away but apart from that it seems to be ok...oh and electronic switch turns it on but doesnt turn it off so just pull the battery wires so no biggy.
I'd go through the initial set up again. I find with the V3.1 the on off doesn't work unless it's properly setup. Remember radio at 100% not 120 or anything else or it could cause you more issue.

The HW on off does the same, but it's usually because it's not set up properly.

Some speedos if you have the dead band at lowest or off setting, the speedo wont turn off because it is still seeing a bit of throttle. Bumping the dead band up a notch or two will fix it. Not sure if that's the problem with your HWs but I've seen it on a couple of others.
