2) Add spacers under the left and right pod side plates to convert the back; and, same as above for the front. Cost: Less than $10.

I chose the first option; but, Dumper says the cheaper second option is just as good. Had some old Manutech aluminum spacers to do the front which worked very well.

And, since then, I have also built a new WGT-R/T car too.

Cheers!

What about converting a LE to WGT-R? Same parts? Any good using a GenX10LE? I am hoping Xray will come out with a rubber version X10 for 2017.

About the only common parts are the front suspension and rear axle/diff.

You can convert an LE using spacers (option #2 above). Cannot convert with option #1 because it involves too many parts which would not be cost effective.

"Blinky" means an ESC that has no (zero) timing advance. ESCs approved for blinky operation are listed here:

I have upgraded to the Spektrum DX6 this fall. Finally gave up on my trusty Airtronics M11 with Spektrum module after 11-12 seasons. I'm happy with the DX6 so far, getting more used to it each time out.

"Blinky" mode is for esc's that are programmable to add timing, etc. "Blinky" is usually called "Sportsman Mode" which does not have alter the timing of the motor, when this mode is selected this is indicated by a flashing light somewhere on the esc or switch.

"Sportsman" esc's are those that do not have programmable timing, true Sportsman esc's, I don't believe, are required to have a blinking light though they certainly can.

I run the Reedy Blackbox 410 esc's in my TC7's for VTA and USGT.

The Hobbywing Xerun XR10 Stock Spec 1S has been recently approved, but I don't see it listed yet on the HW web site. Here is the Pro version:

The v3.1 1S is rated at 120 amp, and the XR10 Stock Spec 1S is rated at 80 amp, I believe? For WGT-R, I expect the lower rating should be completely fine.
