Well, whenever AHR gets carpet from CRC so the track can open, and if ppl show up to run WGTR, I might have to get into this. Haven't run my new 1/12th scale yet, but already dreading buying foam tires all the time. Would also be nice if Serpent would soon update the S100LT to the LTR suspension, so I don't have to buy an LT, then the LTR comes out a month later.

You can always tweak the rules for local races. With 17.5/1s, the speeds are low enough that aerodynamics isn't going to be much of an issue. I'd say if it looks like a real race car, race it!

3. FAR from as short as possible. We are running .586-.596 kingpin length. This is actually longer than we were running on foam.

4. You can use another plate if you have one. We use a #3218 and a #3219 shim on each screw of the front end plate along with now using 1/2" screws. Total cost to convert a foam car to rubber, $10. I have personally converted about 20 cars here, and they are all done the same.
I was at the track yesterday, and sat next to Mr. Mackin. He was converting his car over to rubber tires. During the 8 hours it took him to convert the car, I heard several swear words, your name, and something about "only a few shims".

8 hours? Sounds like Mr. Mackin is doing it wrong! Takes less than 30 minutes to convert a CRC car........

Can you post what, if anything, you had to change/modify on the Serpent? If I run this class, it'll be with a S100LT. Thanks
