and nevermind the fact that the mulsanne is an LMP body, the reason it is not even considered or worth arguing its legality, is that it is discontinued and you cannot buy one.

My buddy picked up and set of tires from TQRC so I'll get to see them 1st hand shortly - we've got a couple different track types we'd like to do testing on (Including a banked concrete oval and a flat asphalt road course)

I had a chance to run some laps with a fellow racer's car last weekend and think this can turn out to be a very good class. Truthfully, I had low expectations as my last experience with a 200mm pan car was on foams and that car was dialed in pretty good. The rubber tires did not diminish the experience at all. The car didn't feel the same as a foam car but on the other hand it didn't have any stupid handling characteristics either. Good luck with the class. Based on the dozen other threads started in the last month bemoaning the lack of a lower cost, easy to set up and drive car, this could be a great addition.

Convert the Gen-X 10LE to WGT-R
So, from the posts in this thread it sounded "quick and easy" to convert over to the rubber tires. A few shims, and your good to go....not exactly the case. This is the steps I took to convert my 10LE to use rubber tires.
1. With the standard "non-slider" rear pod, even with the #3 ride height inserts, you will still need to lower the chassis to get the min 5mm clearance. You can use washers, cut a bottom plate, or make a spacer out of fiberglass or other material you may have around. Keep in mind what ever size spacer you use, you will need to duplicate that same height above the center red hex standoff. I ended up using a few CRC red spacers.
2. The inside diameter of the front rims are smaller than the foam. If you are using the stock graphite steering arm, you will need to grind it down to clear the rims or purchase the 1/12th version. Another solution would be to place the axel in the "trailing" position, and them move the front end plate to the forward position. This will keep the center of the wheels in the same location, however it may change the "feel" of your car. I opted to use the 1/12th steering arms.
3. You will need to make sure the king pin is as short as possible. If they are "long" they will rub the rims.
4. I used another front plat to get the desired ride hight.
so their you have it... a few things you have to do in order to get gong with rubber tires.... it is definitely not a simple "bolt on".... enjoy

2. For road course, we are all running trailing axles, short wheelbase.
3. FAR from as short as possible. We are running .586-.596 kingpin length. This is actually longer than we were running on foam.
4. You can use another plate if you have one. We use a #3218 and a #3219 shim on each screw of the front end plate along with now using 1/2" screws. Total cost to convert a foam car to rubber, $10. I have personally converted about 20 cars here, and they are all done the same.

WGT-R, the fastest growing class at the US Indoor Champs. Only 2 more slots open for free tires. With the CRC crew added in the mix we should easily be down to the C Main.

Body Fitment
A lot of these bodies are designed for TC's how well do some of the fit a WGT pan car and anyone know from person experience which bodies might fit better than others?
Also besides the body and rubber tires what other differences set WGT-R apart from WGT???
