2) Add spacers under the left and right pod side plates to convert the back; and, same as above for the front. Cost: Less than $10.

I chose the first option; but, Dumper says the cheaper second option is just as good. Had some old Manutech aluminum spacers to do the front which worked very well.

And, since then, I have also built a new WGT-R/T car too.

Cheers!

I converted my old car with the WTF pod plates and axial 6mm OD 3mm spacers up front. Then I sold it, and they guy was running the tables on us until celt showed up with his R/T. The LE and SE can still be quite good, indeed.

Several have said they think our rubber tire oval class needs more power than our current 17.5 spec motor. I plan on testing a 13.5 in that at the next oval race.
We had some discussion about this last night. For now 17.5 will be it. We noted that we are getting new racers in this class and where several of us could handle the faster car, it is doubtful that they could. As you know Dumper, with the new motors you are only about .3 seconds a lap slower (current Gate layout) than a F1 car and that is a drivers class.
If there were two classes I would run the 13.5 but at the club level 17.5 will be it. I do agree that on a bigger track 13.5 would be a good call.

So it's safe to say I don't need to buy a 13.5 before Cleveland right?

Correct. We were just looking at the future. The US Indoor champs will be 17.5

I don't like the flying M type decals

Probably 21.5 2 cell or 10.5 1 cell. They are about a half a second a lap slower as a 17.5 1 cell. A 13.5 would only make up about half of that.
