Went testing at Cal Raceway in Orange, Ca on Tuesday and the car was good..just have to work on the high speed sweeper front end grip. A bit to pushy there. Off power, rotating in the corner and on power the grip was awesome Oh this is on asphalt. I have done a few setup changes and will be heading to Camarillo this sunday to run.

Default Xray x10 conversion to WGT-R

Any X10 drivers out there use extra xra371050 2.5MM Graphite Mounting Plate Risers instead of round aluminum shims to adjust the front end for the new CRC GTR tires and wheels?

After 4 attempts of adding round alignment shims between the chassis and mounting arm plate using all 3 steel shim bars under the suspension arm, I still don't have the ride height down to 5mm. (It's currently sitting at about 7.5mm)

Is the chassis supposed to ride higher off the track using rubber tires compared to foam tires? If the chassis is sitting at 7+mm height compared to the 4.5mm height with foams, won't it handle differently?

Thanks for the help!

Just a heads up on bodies. There are four of our bodies on the approved list, however they are all for 190mm cars, so they most likely won't fit the WGT-R Pan Cars. Sorry. I guess we are out.

Sounds like a fun class. The new CRC tires are really cool.

Gary,
Your USVTA bodies, like the 1970 Camaro, 1969 Mustang, and 1968 Cougar are all WGT-R legal. Also the 1970 Firebird. We will be test fitting others, like the Jag, to see if they'll work. :-)

Hi Scott- I know the VTA bodies are legal, just don't know if they will be competitive with the winged bodies. Seems like the class is more oriented to modern Sports Cars, but there are no guidelines for the bodies. Thanks for your concern.

Actually the VTA bodies are just as competitive as anything else. The bodies have to look like real cars. Any body approved for WGT is not legal. It is pretty cut and dry. Protoform is in the same boat as you, yet people are finding ways to run their "190mm" bodies.
