I have a xray with a speed merchant conversion, and I have no steering on corner entry or exit inspite of having 12" turning radius. My car is unraceable. Any advise? I tried moving the battery forward working with rear track shock tension ride height 5mm in rear 4.8mm front. Associated .014 front $prings.

not sure which model serpent it was, older I do know. Front I had 4mm of spacers under the arms ran asc .18 1-12 springs, 1.5 camber middle for caster on arm, about 1.5 deg toe out. rear was the circle type ride ht adjusters, put the highest one that was in the box, looks like the highest possible in, added 1mm between the rear pod bottom and the rear carbon lower plate. got the back to about 5.3 and front at 5.1.

Rollin out around 92mm seems to be pretty consistent for all of drivers.

.014 is really soft, you may just be dropping to the ground and pushing.

I agree on the springs, probably coil bound. Try .018 or go to a soft 1/10 scale spring on a longer kingpin.

I changed the springs to .014 fromv.020 no the chassis wasn't coil. Bound. It is something I'm not seeing I can setup a car but this has me perplexed.

No marks from the front tires inside the body? Or could the sides of the body be hitting the carpet at speed?

Just throwing it out there as it has happened to me.

Default GTR TIGHT

Hey Guys,
I put the new tires on this weekend, once I adjusted the chassis for the tires, and the car drove very well. The problem is the car drove very tight. I tried to loosen it up by putting the hardest side springs and 50k in the tubes. Nothing worked
Ideas please?
Thanks and God Bless

We are running very soft. .45 or .50 side springs, .45 front springs with .586 kingpin length, 10k in the tubes, 1 degree of camber 3/4 to full front traction applied about 5 minutes before we run.

Pretty much a ditto on my old Gen-X (the original) and it turns very well.

I'm going to have to try this, my car has good initial turn in than proceeds to push bad.

this is exactly what I'm experiencing, but I'm running fairly stiff in the back.

I changed about every other possible thing on the car last Thursday including electronics and battery layout and kept getting slower all night.

This week, I'm going back to where I started, and softening up the rear end to mush and see what happens!

- Tire and Wheel Rules – For the 2015-2016 season, Team CRC GTR rims will be the only rims allowed (Part #2310). The only front tires that will be allowed are Team CRC RT-1 (Part#2311), Team CRC Mounted RT-1 (Part#2314), and TCS fronts (Part#1031). The only rear tires that will be allowed are Team CRC RT-1 (Part#2312), Team CRC Mounted RT-1 (Part#2316), and TCS (Part#1032). Tires can be mounted “F1/Nascar” or “GT” style. If mounted “GT” style, the inner lip can be trimmed for clearance, however the molded letters (either CRC or TCS) must not be removed. The is no performance advantage to either mounting style, it is just for scale appearance. Stock inserts only. No Modifying inserts or “double stuffing” of inserts will be allowed.

-Battery – ROAR approved 1 cell (3.7v) hard case lipo. Voltage limit to be set by track (4.20-4.22)

-Motor – Any ROAR approved 17.5 turn brushless motor (Smaller tracks are encouraged to use 21.5)

-Rotor – ROAR approved tuning rotors are allowed

-Speed Control – Any ROAR approved spec class (blinky) speed control in “blinky” mode. NO RECEIVER PACKS. You may use a specific 1 cell speed control, or a two cell speed control with an external booster. Stock 2 or 4 cap banks that come with the ESC's only. There will be a limit of 10,000 micro farad on cap banks.

-Bodies – Bodies must be cut on the mold lines. No excessive cutting or lowering of the body is permitted. No lightening of the body is permitted. Wings and spoilers that are included with the body kits are ok if cut on one of the mold lines (if multiple mold lines are present). No additional aerodynamic aids are allowed. Backs of the bodies (including rear bumpers) are to be left in. No bodies that were designed for pan cars, no GTP, Daytona Prototype, IMSA, or bodies that look like 1/12th or 1/8th on road bodies with an integrated rear wing. Tires cannot stick outside the body.

-Race Length- Have fun with this. If 5 minute qualifiers and 5 minute mains fit in your race program, do that. If you want to do 8 minute races, do that. If you want to do shorter qualifiers and longer mains, do that. We have run 15 minutes with ease. Work with your race director to fit into the program. Run time and traction are not an issue for longer races.

-Fun- 100% Mandatory!
