Default First Battery Charge on new IB3800's

OK Sorry for a question that I'm sure has been asked, but we have got our first indoor race with our new winter cars and would like to know if there is anything special we should do to brand new 3800's we will use tomorrow night.

We have (4) packs each... should we do anything today and tomorrow before getting to the track, or just just start a discharge and peak at the track???

Thanks for your help guys, the fourm has been a great help getting info.
We are making the transistion from 1/5th scale to 10/th Electric for the winter.... Keep us sharp

You should discharge them to 5.4.....let them cool down NATURALLY.....then tray them till the lights go out, then charge at 6-7 amps (6 for mod, 7 for stock or 19t)..... .02 peak detect.

What is the benefit of letting them cool down naturally?
