Default LRP Pulsar 2 charger

I'm thinking of getting this charger.

LRP Pulsar 2 Competition peak charger Large extra bright 2x16 character LCD-display (with laser blue backlight) shows all relevant data. Auto-Restart-System after power interrupt. Autostart-Timer, programmable from 0 to 99min. 3 individual user profiles can be stored for easy operation. PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) for maximum efficiency. You can perfectly charge all types of NiMH and NiCd batteries for maximum power, discharge all types of NiMH and NiCd batteries with the matching mode and run in your motor -- all with just one unit! The charge mode contains a fast charge for 1-8 cells with adjustable current from 0.1 to 10.0A on the fly. Linear and Flex charge modes, to get the maximum performance out of all kind of batteries with an adjustable Delta-Peak range from 5-95mV. LRP has reinforced the proven PCS-2 System to the all-new PCS-3 Peak Capacity System. With the Pulsar Competition 2, three individual user profiles can be stored for easy operation. You can switch between the user profiles at any stage of the menu, so the handling is extremely convenient for you. The new discharge mode now contains a variable discharge current from 0.1 to 10.0A, adjustable on the fly! The laser-blue backlight display shows all relevant data during discharge like discharge time, capacity, and average voltage. The cut-off voltage is adjustable from 3.6 to 7.2V. You want to know the performance of your batteries? No problem! Just use the fully automatic matching mode to match your battery!

Bit of a newbie to all this but when it says it has a matching mode to match your batteries. Is that matching the cells like one of THESE would do?
