So I just weighed my car. With large dual batteries and the 4070 motor I am at 9 lbs 4 oz's. And that is with the velineon still in it. I am thinking the XLX will weigh enough to offset the extra motor weight. I think I am gonna come in well under 10 pounds to begin with. Do you guys think I am going to need to add weight in the nose?

Just finished a little conversion with an old HPI MT2.
Going to run it 2wd on 6s, should be interesting!

It came out to 6lbs 12oz ready to run.

Default INSANE SPEED CHALLENGE @ ENCINO VELODROME

INSANE SPEED CHALLENGE:

One of the things at the ENCINO VELODROME that is always, and I mean ALWAYS is exciting to me is Nic and others who attempt INSANE SPEED RUNS.

Does ANYONE think they can build something to challenge "The King of Speed" NIC CASE?

I will put up a $100.00 prize, plus 100% of all "Insane Class" entry money if anyone can beat Nic Case and his INSANE Car.

The "Challenge" will include:

1) Must be a PAID Entrant in the VELO Race taking place.

2) Must beat the Lap Time NIC Set in practice at the MARCH EVENT. (6.16 sec.) this will be the benchmark.

LAP TIME: 6.16 seconds
TRACK SIZE: 250m (820 ft)
SPEED: 90.761 mph (approx, not a certified speed)

There will be a few rules and more info to follow. The event will take place during our schedule R/C Velodrome race LABOR DAY WEEKEND (in September)

This is the CAR TO BEAT:

Much better with the new motor mount I found, it's a miracle how perfect it fits. Even lines up with the center diff brace. Just had to drill another hole in the chassis. And yea so I am totally done with 2wd, not worth it. Pretty much uncontrollable. I gave it a shot, but it's back to 4wd... 2wd is HORRIBLE! I don't know how those guys with the rustlers do it! trying to stop is the worst part, sends the car out of control.

Mocking up my TP 4070cm. I wanted it low in the chassis. I found the SAGA Custom mount and with a bit of trimming on the Carbon Fiber brace It is going to work great.
