Probably. It helps that the car has only been out for around 3 months. I'm sure there will be plenty of these going just as fast if not faster in no time.

Anyone who likes OFNA GTP2Es but cant find parts anymore should seriously consider a MGT7E. Thats why I got it. I was forced to retire my GTP2E when I couldn't even find a simple replacement diff pinion gear.

Congrats!
You’re getting real fast with that new chassis, running 6 or 8 cell?

Thanks man. I'm running 8s. 6s is fun but I was getting too used to the speed. Plus my Mamba Monster esc and higher kv 6s motors were running too hot.

My 8s setup is running a lower kv motor so everything runs much cooler and is much faster at the same time.

I bash this car everyday in front of my house. Not just speed runs on the weekends so cooler temps are important.

Sounds smart.

Your car has got to be one of the most outrageous daily street basher around; 135 mph is nothing to sneeze at!

Man I got the same story.
Gave up on my OFNA X3 since parts were so scarce and hopped on the mgt7 train.
I love Mugens and always have.
I'm coming for that 135 son! (:
In case you still love your OFNA too, like I do, look up RC-willpower on eBay. He grabs ex-OFNA parts from the hong nor factory. Anything you need he can get.
My X3 is almost completely rebuilt and road ready for pretty cheap instead of being put down like a sick animal.

Haha yeah the car is too fun to resist blasting up and down my street everyday even tho my street is only really long enough to barely go over 100 mph. But it is a daily driver for sure.

Sounds good that you're trying to go fast with your MGT7 too. Competition brings faster and faster numbers. Its a shame that OFNA parts are getting so scarce. I loved my GTP2 but have never really looked back after getting the MGT7.

I've checked out RC-willpowers stuff and have purchased some OFNA/ hong nor stuff from them in the past but even he didnt have the parts I need.

I've been trying to post up some pictures of my MGT7 here but Im having trouble uploading them from my phone or laptop.

Leopard 1600kv
200a trackstar esc
(2) 5000mah 65c nano-tech's
Cc bec pro
TA DS1015 servo
Sweep GT wheels/tires. (They gonna burst one of these days)
Mon-sat 29t pinion 32t spur.
Sunday's 34t pinion 35t spur.

Btw this is Mark in Miami.
We been chattin' for weeks.
I don't think there are many more people putting down 550 for just a mgt7 chassis just to drive it recklessly at triple digit speeds down our public streets.
Lots of people watching our utube vids tho so I'm sure in time there will be a few more speed runners.
Plus this car is super dope.
My favorite rc to date.

I had a feeling it was you Mark! Haha. Hows the trackstar esc workin out for you? I was considering getting one but I figured theres probably a reason I haven't seen anyone using it for speed runs or anythong crazy. I hope you prove me wrong haha.

Yeah it took me while to convince myself to spend that much on just a rolling chassis but so far its worth every penny. All the problems a had with my previous 1/8 cars (OFNA GTP2E, Kyosho Inferno Gt2) are non-existant with the Mugen. Including diff case failure and center shafts popping out at 110+ mph. My Mgt7 is my fave to date as well.

Get some more videos of the Mugen up!

The TC3 is great for speed runs just as the TC4 is. The shaft drive is ideal IMHO, although many go fast with belt drive as well.

Finding a good road to do speed runs is one of the hardest parts of going fast. Especially with a 1/10 scale since they require almost perfect surfaces to get a clean run in.

and just like that... my trackstar goes up in smoke. lol
I knew coming in to the speedrun game that we are pushing our electronics to the absolute brink and it was going to be a costly angle to the hobby, but I also knew that no other angle did it for me. The adrenaline rush from these blistering speeds is the only one that does it for me.
So now I send my trackstar back and wait 19 days for a new one. Im also sending in my Mamba Monster back to CC as its almost at the end of warranty and is acting up from me pushing it to its 6s max for almost a year straight with these mindless speed runs.
So keep posting videos cause I aint doing nothing but finishing my Warrior body for the next few weeks.
At least I did a 81 mph backflip and landed it today before the smoke show. Im ok with all of it.
