Just wondering where you got this information?

You have to be very careful. Motor temps were very high at 168+°F after the pass!

I'm sure you know of the RPM max ratings. They're displayed on the back of Castle creations cans. 2200 x 25.6v ~ 56000 rpm, but I was seeing lower RPM numbers according to the data logging feature on my MMX which makes sense under load.

Faster spinning motors always have lower LiPo cell ratings due to the 60k or 50k rating. A 5600kv motor for example is probably limited to 3s. You could pump 36v into a can not designed for it which speedrunners do already. These Castle 1/8 motors aren't rated for 8s, but there's nothing stopping you from using it with a 8s+ capable speed control, obviously.

XLX is finally fixed, haven't had the chance to get a full run in with it but I did mess around in front of my house and from what I can tell they definitely fixed the power issue , Just not sure if the overtemp is going to be an issue like it is with the MMX, I'll have to get a full run in before knowing that
