I know you guys seem to be running Mugens and Kyoshos, but Im not trying to set any records, just competing with myself lol. Planning to get a {Leopard 5682 1360KV as an upgrade starting point to run 8S passes. Any suggestions as to what ESC to run? Thanks all! Brandon
Glad to hear you caught the speed bug as well. You will need a Castle XL2 esc to run 8s if you can still find one which is tough since they are discontinued. Good luck with the XO1.

Hey thanks! In place of the XL2, since they are hard to find, what do you think about this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VXP-Racing-3...-/171640170476
They say it will handle much more power, but they arent a "big name" company. Just curious.

Never tried those but I have been curious about them for a while. Not curious enough to spend that kind of loot tho. Let me know how it goes if you try it.

If you are in Socal you can run on Gladwick Street in Compton. A lot of guys run there.

Hey guys, buying some upgrade stuff in the near future for the XO, for when I get the 8S setup. What tires/wheels would you suggest for when I get it past the speed rating of factory tires? Also on a side note, which Garmin do you suggest? Thanks again! BB

The list of mods is endless. I don't think there are any pieces of the car that I haven't somehow changed. The major ones are, all the metal and electrical components have been cryo treated, fluid filled diffs with spools and of course the belly pan. I'll answer any questions though.

What chassis is that built on?
What is the under chassis material?
What tires are you using, rubber or foam?
What the heck is cryo treated?
I'm sure I'll have more!?.

Thanks for the previous compliment, btw.

It's an OFNA Late Model Dirt Oval. In my opinion, it has a bunch of advantages over any other chassis. Parts are hard to get now, though.
The belly pan is 5052 aluminum sheet.
Foam tires.
Cryo treating makes things like metal gears stronger and have less friction. It makes electrical components more efficient by changing the conductivity of things like copper. This is a very simple explanation of a complex process. See Cryoheat.com

Thanks man. Realistically, I'm just hoping it doesn't fly. Dreaming, I'm guessing it'll do 150+ on 6S. If all my theories work out, I'm gonna make an extended chassis with dual 56mm motors.

The fastest 1/8 GT I seen on 6s was a GTP2E that went 147 mph. You will most likely need at least 7s for 150+ mph. I have gone 149 mph on 7s with my Mugen MGT7.
