Reducing IR in Batteries

I have three Battery Packs that are stick, and several that are side-by-side

I have converted the stick packs to side-by-side, but the problem is that the converted packs have VERY high IR's of between 80-160

How can I reduce the IR numbers?

use the Spintec Battery Manager...My IR stays low and helps bring higher ones lower...

Were the stick packs matched to begin with? If they were "sport" packs, the properties of the cells may not have been great to begin with. But anyway, the number one cause of high IR in an assembled pack is the quality of the soldered connection (between the bar and the cell itself). Solder is not a good conductor and excessive amounts on the joint will kill the IR and Voltage of the pack...
