RCfreak,

Yeah we run carpet mod only pretty much, hardly ever a stock class. Our lap time is on average about 8 secs fast lap, 7.6 real fast lap. I'm using IRS rear axle as well but with normal size stealth diff.

I run 2 bodies, last year's Protoform Bentley Speed 8 and I mostly run a Parma Speed 8 with the top of the rear wing trimmed. Here's my Parma body from my L3 last year, but holes locations are identical.

Default SNOWBIRDNATIONALS.... ANYONE GOING.???

IS ANYONE GOING TO THE BIG RACE IN FLORIDA IN A FEW WEEKS.??

I WILL BE THERE ALSO RUNNING 1.12TH SCALE..

litespeed-- nice body!!! is there any other bodies lower than that?? that will fit the yokomo car??

BTW-- i know the L3 is supposed to be the same car, i tried to use a body off of an l3 and the wheels did not fit right.. the fronts were further forward... longer wheelbase.

Yeah, I've been using this body for the Yok, it's low enough, I can lower it even more. And yes, forgot to mention that the Yok wheelbase IS longer.

I ordered one of the yrx-12's and should get it next week. I always said to myself if Yokomo comes out with a 1:12 car that's what I am going to run. Anyone want to buy a Trinity SB2002SE 1:12?

I was looking at the stormer hobbies site and saw this high traction chassis set...

YSP12SSG Yokomo, SSG HI TRACTION CHASSIS SET $69.95

Anyone have any idea what it is? Also, it sucks that the Yokomo site doesn't have any of this new stuff for the yrx-12 on their site...

Ah yeah! Now buy mine so you can have a backup car! One for stock, one for mod!

i have been driving a speedmerchant rev. 3 for the past year and a half, and have been very pleased. wanting to try a t-bar car out i purchased the yok, however i have a few questions:

-instead of running the friction disks, has anyone run damper tubes instead? since that would allow indapendant front/rear and side to side damping.

-what t bar do u guys run for carpet?

-my front suspenion still had alot of slop in the caster shims even after using the two on each side they provided and also the graphite brace, anyone else have this?

also any other tips or suggestions would be great, thanks!

storm,
i've found that driving the car with the soft set-up works best. i've tried a stiffer t-bar and it seems to push a lot. i run the stock t-bar and friction plates. the ones we used for the 12L3 was a .075, but it hink the yok is a .057. its pretty thin. but it works good. dom keep your car, nobody likes a quitter! when you sell your car we are going to ban you from this thread!!!!

Dude, even if I want to race, I won't be racing at least until March. My dad is coming in town this weekend (Hence why I can't come up to Puyallup this weekend with you guys), and I'm just going to spend some time with him the next month. By then it'll be March and Jose starts karting in March, I'm his mechanic/pit guy. I doubt I'll sell it, but it's sitting on the shelve now!
