These body rules have been used in USGT for the last 4 to 5 years and never once has there been mass hysteria about running 200mm cars. No manufacturer has made a 200mm car for this class or has any racer built a 200mm car for this class. Using a 200mm body on a 190mm car isnt as bad as you think.
This is a fun class enjoy it.

I love seeing mains with 7 or 8 different styles bodies, whether they're made by us or not. Those include some awesome 200mm bodies.

USGT was supposed to be 17.5t in the first place... A lot more racers would have joined in on the fun... It would be an inviting class to the hobby with the right equipment to switch your car to 17.5t blinky if need be, no extra motor purchase necessary... All the RTR manufacturers should have followed suit, and released their RTR's with a cheap 17.5t motor in them to participate in that class, but that never happened and newbie participation is going down fast.....

I thought the GT class was an exhibition class? Doesn't the host track determine the rules?
No four door? What about Subaru Impreza and Legacy?

A person can't plagiarize his own work.
Talk of GT10 vs USGT - the USGT is a class developed by the guys who brought you the USVTA, where as the GT10 class here on the West Coast was a class that Charlie Barnes has been pushing, and may have put together himself, years ago. We run a GT10 Series at his track in Orange, and like almost EVERYTHING here we use a faster motor than the "US" classes - I believe in part because we have tracks big enough to run them.
The "GT" class name has messed w/ people - because they THINK "G" should stand for Gas, so a "GT" class would be a "Gas Touring" class. But it seems these days, if a "Non Roar "TC Race Body" is used, then the name should include "GT" in it somewhere.

it gets confusing for sure.
Granted, FULL SCALE Road Racing makes this confusing enough, especially with changing clubs and merging associations etc. GTO - GTU - GTP - Daytona Prototype - LMP - GT1 - GT2 - GT3 , etc...
IMHO - after watching the GT10 guys run at CAL RACEWAY - the Roar Nat's is going to put on a GREAT GT10 show - these cars are FAST and so fun to watch...
