Default TC3 for brushless and LiPo

I'm looking to get my TC3 back on the road, instead of getting an all new kit.

Do I need to convert my chassis to fit a brushless motor and Lipo battery?

Thanks!

Jeff

No, they will both fit without problem. In fact, a shorty is probly a better weight balance than a traditional 6 cell pack.

Keep in mind that car wasnt designed for brushless power so the wear on the car is going to be great if you choose lower turns.

It will be fine. You can put whatever motor you want in it.

I think people forget about the 9,10 and 11 turn Triple brushed motors we use to run on Nimh.

On a fully charged Nimh those things were equal to a 5.5 or 6.5 for about the first 5 mins.

Make sure your differentials are in good shape.

brushless is more efficient than brushed motors, so even a mild b/l motor with a bad differential will make it hard work and not fun to drive.

if it feels gritty and not smooth then it's time to rebuild.

Most electronics when combined with a low profile servo weigh around +/- 300 grams. Typical 6000mah batteries are usually close to the same weight. If you already have a full size LiPO I'd try that and use lead to balance the car. I would only recommend using a shorty pack if for some reason you weren't able to get the car close to the minimum weight. That's assuming that you're gonna be racing the thing
