New Graphite Hubs:
Xray have recently released some additional Graphite hubs for the T4 lineup. The 4° Graphite C-Hub has been out for some time and is known to improve steering on entry, and in general makes the car turn better. This has been the go-to c-hub on asphalt for many on the Xray team, though it is not needed on high bite carpet. The Graphite rear hub tends to make the car more stable, especially on corner entry. We are still working on gathering input on the new Graphite steering block, but for the moment feel that it should improve steering response. All Graphite parts are approximately 1g lighter than the Hard or Medium options.

Option Parts to consider:
XRA301196 T4 Graphite Upper Deck 1.6mm V2
XRA301226 Foam Bumper – Hard - highly recommend
XRA302165 Composite Front Suspension Arm 2-Hole – Hard
XRA302169 Composite Front Suspension Arm 1-Hole – Graphite
XRA302803 1.3mm Front Anti-Roll Bar
XRA303169 Composite Rear Suspension Arm 1-Hole – Graphite
XRA303802 1.2mm Rear Anti-Roll Bar
XRA305137 Steel Solid Axle Driveshaft Adapters - HUDY Spring Steel - highly recommend
XRA305242 Composite Drive Shaft Replacement Cap 3.5mm – Orange – Strong (QTY 4)
XRA305351 Aluminum Wheel Hub – Offset “-0.75mm” – Black (QTY 2)
XRA306191 T4 Graphite + Aluminum Fully Adjustable Battery Holder
XRA308264 4S Spring-Set Progressive C=2.5-2.8 (QTY 2)
XRA308276 4S Spring-Set C=2.7 (QTY 2)
XRA308286 4S Spring-Set C=2.6 (QTY 2)
Specific to Asphalt:

Specific to Carpet:

XRA302376 Composite C-Hub Left – 6* - Hard ***Modification may be required if they don't have the "ECS" stamp.

I'm sure the 2015 aluminum chassis will work. All the relevent screw holes look to be in the same place.

I remember seeing some on Apex R/C's website.

Lol, you will,
I think I gained 1.5s compared to my Tamiya 419 after using t4 for 2 days.
It is amazing that it made such huge difference.

Im not expecting big changes in laptimes but maybe more consistant as the car wont fall apart all thetime heh. My r2 was matching fast guys at my track with awsomatix and t4 np. Just got sick of constantly working on it.

I just want to focus on my skills development. The chassis itself is merely a toolto that end but xray is widely accepted as the most reliable. So here i am =)

Agreed...I would have gone with a different chassis but the support from the team guys, the durability/reliability/stability can't be beat. XRay is just so easy to run.

Totally agreed as well as with Xray I have more fun running the track then on the bench table tweaking and fixing on my previous 419 - now I can have more constant track time and ever slightly going faster by bit by bit every time I practiced... (Althought still much much slower than the fast guys in my tracks... )

Heh. The local team guys are pretty shocked and appaled by how i setup my cars ha. So team support can only take me so far.
Though i have made a real effort to learn how to drive a car that pushes. Usually i want all the steering i can tune in and just drive around it.
But there are advantages to having a more docile car i dont have to work so hard to wheel heh. I watch blake and luke and they are pretty relaxed most of the time.
I guess bottom line is i can make almost anything go fast. But i want something easy to drive. And consistant

Wanted you guys opinions on this.
So I have been driving with t4 16 base carpet setup lately and I really liked it.
I was looking at setup sheet provided by X-ray drivers for inspirations. But they just look far different from mine, and I tried one of them , went back to base setup again.

I am just curious at witch point, do you think you need to modify the setup? I have been improved my lap time a lot with this base setup, but i always feel there is something left to be desired.

I guess this is also a skill development question. At which point do you think you need better setup?

Wanted to hear you guys opinions.

Hi, just got back in to rc after 2 years of blank, just got the new t4, and noticed it comes with a spool at the front axle, the track i will be running will be low-med surface, only med-high during race days, so should i get a front diff for practice time or just stick to the stock setup to get some feel first. thx

My 2 cents (driving the t4 '15 for more than 11 months now), it all depends on you and how you are really connected and familiar with your car. As I started with my '15 last year, I was using a Futaba 4PK radio and doing fine. When I switched to the M12S, I got faster, more consistent and got more "connected to car" to the point I was confident and daring enough to make set up changes in the kit and test it out and see my performance.

Prior to the end of 2015, I tested the Hagberg set up but retained some set ups that I felt were more suited to my driving. I posted the fastest lap and most number of laps in a 5 min run for 17.5T blinky in our recent club race.

To each his own

i think the use of the diff at front is when you do carpet racing and if the traction is really high.

our local asphalt track was low/medium before and using the spool was really great for me, though I have never tested the diff at the front ever.

Let's wait for the others to chip in

Never tried in on the xray but my previous cars it did make it easier to drive mid out. I will say to test without it. The car is very easy to drive all around. The track I race low to mid asphalt.
