2015 ROAR Paved Nats
#110
Some tires were completely undrivable. Multiple kinds of issues.. Tires from practice batch were OK and they had enough to replace race batch sets with sets from practice batch. Q1 was thrown away and reran due to this issue, IMO the correct thing to do. If you had bad ones your car could be a second a lap slow, unpredictable to drive, or both. Made for a long day today tho

ROAR officials and track crew made the right call and swapped everyones tires with a diffrent batch and re-ran qualies. Long day but drama is over and racing continued after a short morning rain delay with no further issues. Has been a fun and pretty relaxed event at the awesome tamiya facility so far.
Fyi- i had no issues w/ my tire sets.

Well represented
Sorry for the late post,
Like to thank all the Roar reps for handling all the issues that could have been a disaster, instead you ended with a good and fair outcome.
Thanks to R1 (Steve V. ) for all his hard work developing motors, fans, batteries and now servos. All your hard work has really paid off at the Roar Nats, the Reedy race and TCS Nats.
R1 was well represented in the A mains at the Roar race. Thanks to Tamiya and Fred for bringing the race to Tamiya Raceway. Traction was good considering the rain and no spray, it was a drivers race finding a set-up that held up through out the day as conditions changed!
Thanks to all the volunteers that were behind the scene getting all the racers through tech in a non chaotic manner!
Well, I guess that's it!
See you all at the race track!!!!!
Just my 2$
