Today was a bit hectic but for the most part it went smoothly, and the program was only a little bit behind schedule. Of course there were the typical large race headaches like power problem in the pits, transponders not working or incorrect and we had live audio and video being broadcast but not the race results. These issues hopefully will be corrected by tomorrow. We had 3 hours of open practice in the morning and then 2 rounds (23 heats) of controlled practice. Tomorrow we will switch that up and run the controlled practice in the morning and open the track up for open practice in the afternoon.
Day was beautiful but hot, especially for those travelling from colder climates or spoiled indoor brats like the guys from Seattle Indoor Raceway.
Track temps got up to 140 and there was some adjustments to be made as things got a little slick near the end of the day.
All the usual names were fast but I did see Matt Francis, Barry Baker and Hara get into the low 14's during open practice.

I'll have tomorrow and Fridays schedule nd heats posted shortly ...although there was issues that precluded us from running the barcode lap times printouts ...I've emailed all the data files to Doug Hay, and he's pretty sure he can post up some reports of fast class laptimes, racer laptimes, etc.
