Default Practice weekends?

2 questions:
Are there going to be any open Sunday practices?

Also have you guys tried those premounted Sorex 36s on speedmind rims Seems like Sorex is making a move to get a handout tire out there

Not at this point, might do some Sunday practices depending on how the Friday/Saturday practice goes and if there is enough of a demand for it.

Haven't tried the Sorex premount, track hasn't been open till tomorrow.

Let us know if/when you do, it'd make for a nice road trip weekend

Shouldn't this become a sticky, every other nats post has been to date and this is approaching fast!

Couple questions about the track. I see some tents over the pits in the pics. Will all the pits be covered for this race? Should I plan on bringing a 8x8 pop up and if so is that allowed? Also, since the pits are outdoors does that mean we have to pack up and take everything with us at the end of each day? How will that work?

Thanks, and really looking forward to the race!

Question....? Why are you worried about the Sorex tire Rigg? The hand out is RP 36 , that is the only tire that your should be worried about..One of these days you will ask questions that make more sense...The practice question was good enough for me....your hurt Riggamortice....

This isn't an indoor carpet track so it would be in your best interest to take everything with you. Shade is provided over all pits but I'll let the race orgainzer give you the final answer. See ya there.

majority of the pit spaces will be covered. those pics were from a few years back..there are more pits tables now too.

just to be safe..bring your canopy/table/chairs if it gets crowded..more likely you'll have to pack up everything at the end of each day...

The racer under the covered canopy is Hara..

We have enough canopy to cover 110 pit spaces, and depending on signups will probably pick more up to cover the extra tables we will need. I was trying to find a picture to illustrate the pit space layout and all I could come up with was this:

http://www.gearchart.com/galleries/2...s/DSC_0422.jpg

LOL j/k , actually nothing recent with pictures of the entire pit area!! so look here:

http://www.rcracing.com/2001_ROAR_Na...res_1_1546.cfm , fourth row from the bottom, 4th and last picture you can see a corner of the pit area along with the tech area

There are some more pics of the pit areas spread out here:

http://www.rcracing.com/2001_ROAR_Na...tures_1564.cfm

And although there are no pit area pics in this set of pics ...there is a picture that we may see again at these nats ...third row from the bottom, third picture over

LOL ..so I never answered the questions ...although we plan on having chairs and covers for everyone, if you are local or driving up, go ahead and bring then if it's not a huge issue. As far as leaving stuff, we are looking into what it would cost to have security for the event, the entire perimiter is enclosed with a chain link fence with "stalag 13 barbed wire" on top of it, both entrances locked and are located literally behind the police station, where the patrol cars drive in and out of the station. In the past in multiple day events we have left things like towels, power supplies, soldering irons with no issues ...I don't know that I would leave anything else other than that *unless* we are able to get some kind of resonable security, we'll keep you updated on that.

not worried at all, just trying to plant a seed... after all Speedworld is the Sorex distributor and it would be nice after all to end up coming home with a bunch of tires I could use agian for club racing

One of these days you'll make a reply that makes more sense We'll see who's hurt in the series... I have my title to defend

Not ignoring your question ...just haven't been able to talk to the right people out at the fairgrounds yet to get you a definite answer on the RV situation.

Also, I have talked to the Roseville PD (it's been long enough and all my records are sealed ) ...and they are going to doing "extra patrols" around the track during the race, we're still looking into some kind of overnight security as well. Just so you have an idea see the pic below, that is where the police station is, right in front of the track and the police cars drive in and out of the station right there wher the arrow is pointing.

Any advice for 1/12 tires on this track? I normally run pink or double pink rears and purple fronts.
