Tire's had excellent wear without a huge drop off in lap times on the 2nd run. We will get to do back to back testing with the 36's and Sorex very soon out here. I was very happy with the tire. Shouldn't you be in bed??? I don't think RP make an alarm clock

will all future shipments be on the new rim??

to me the tires felt similar to sorex 36r's for the first 2 runs. i could overdrive the sorex's a bit more before overheating them, but these were still good. i really liked the forgiving nature of the rims, a definite plus for handout tires. i cracked 2 to 3 rims of the off-the-shelf tires (harder rims) over the past two months.

I thought the tires rocked, especially on the new rim. They stayed consistent throughout a run and worked from the morning when racing started to the end of the day when it ended. I definitely think we made the correct choice in choosing the RP36 for the handout for the nats.

More info on the Nats tires...

Hara fastest qualifying run was on 2nd run tires.

Hara's fastest lap was a 14.0 on 2nd run tires.

Every driver in the 4th qual round of Mod was running 2nd run tires and thier lap times were identical to thier earlier round lap times.

If guys were wearing out tires or making them slow in one run their cars setups were way off.

I overheard quite a few drivers in the pits talking about liking the tire better on the second run. I do know the tires fell off hard after the fourth run, dont know if it was the really hot track temps (over 145 deg) but they were pretty much unusable after run 4.

I love this! The ROAR Nats thread has been over run with F1! Schumacher must have been driving.

Yeah Senna ran into Prost but it was a payback and Prost was at the time a 3 time World Champion. Schumacher would run his Grandama over to win a raffle. ROFL ROFL
Forgive me but, I watched Shuey beat Senna with an inferior car. say what you will but Senna ws at the top of his game at the time and driving a better car than Shuey. I'm not taking anything from Senna, but saying Shuey never faced the level of competition that Senna did is not true.

You know Adrian ?

If you folk`s are serious about helping the sport survive you could at least produce a tire that lasts more than a couple run`s....

There isn't a tire on the market that can stand up to 150 degree track temps over and over.

IIRC you want to run the CS series of tires if you want them to last...

As long as people want to win they will run short run stuff that will always be faster than long run stuff

Don`t give the Cs last longer story , they are same ..
first run`s are faster, then they poop out....

your right back to having to spend $50 a race just to keep up...

I've yet to see a rubber tire wear that bad indoors on carpet. Our local hot shot ran half the season on the same set. It's different for everyone I guess but just cause the pros switch tires every run doesn't mean you have to.

Where do you race at because that's far from what I have seen out here and we just held the nats at our local carpet track.
