A touring car good right out of the box
Good day to all.
Upgrades. Hop-ups. I wish do away with it for now.
I am in the process of acquiring a new or used budget touring car chassis which is fully adjustable that is OK to drive out of the box.
My objective is to hone my driving skills without buying hop-ups to make it perform better.
I have always been stuck with Tamiya but looking to try other brands.
My candidates:
1. Spec R S2
2. Sakura D3 or D4 - will configure it for grip
Track condition: Asphalt, technical, unfriendly rails, and unprepared.
i am not really limiting myself to those cars mentioned. There might be a little more expensive chassis but worth the extra cash.
Can somebody please give other suggestions as to which chassis to buy?
Many thanks!

I mentioned D3 and D4 because I wanted to configure it as a tourer.
Yes budget is a concern because of the track conditions I mentioned earlier.
Thanks for the advise.

It's because of those track conditions I would stay away from those cars you mention and find a good 2nd hand car.

Otherwise a BD7 RS (not the newest RS2) is also quite nice, but needs some durability upgrades...

Yokomo BD7 RS2 kit might interest you. Amazing kit. Performs really well right out of the box. I've built a few of them and quality is excellent. Performance on the track (even wihout roll bars) is very good.

Spec R S2 looks good. I've been reading the manual.
