We raced allot of years with :
pitshumizu 25
blue JB inserts (medium or thin)
proline velocity rims 24mm

Now we race with :
sorex 28
JB medium power stripe (yellow-bue-yellow)three colours
proline velocity rims 24mm

Euhm, i find that the sorex 28 loose his grip afther 3-4min.Maybe they come to hot or dont use the good additive(i use jack the gripper). The pitshumizu are on this moment n1 for me!

Yeah...I talked with Todd Hodge and he said the RP24 & RP30's were super dialed

Jason Moberly also used these tires all last year on carpet and won a couple of state/regional races with them....They are the real deal on carpet

Been racing rubber tires for a while and have tried a lot of combos and various brands of tires. Here are my observations...

Sorex: Unbelieable for about 2-3 runs and then good for the dump.

Pits: All around good traction with good wear rate, same traction down to the belt but only if you get a good set as quality tends to vary for each pair. Also hard to find at my local hobby shop.

CS: Good traction for 4-5 runs then falls off slowly. Excellent wear rate.

RP: Excellent traction for 3-4 runs then falls off faster then CS. Medium high wear rate.

Powers: Very good traction for 4-5 then falls off slowly. Medium wear rate.

Our club has been using CS for the past few years and currently people are trying out RPs and Powers. What I find is that the RP is a competition level tire that you wouldn't want to use for anything other than during a race as they do tend to wear out pretty quick. Powers are very similar to the CS but have better traction but I find it does need a little bit of time to get them warmed up but once it does, it's awsome!!!! Don't need to say much about CS as they've been around and most people have given an idea of how they perform already.
