First thing to do on a new fan is shoe goo the wires to the case so they don't move and snap off.

I assumed the windy fan was like everybody else, just a sticker. You can usually track down the origin of a fan when spending a little time with Google image search. But while trying to do that, I came across these images which make me wonder if maybe there is more to that particular fan in this case.

Well I'll be, I would like to know who is making them, to see if they would make some specific for a project I have.
Sorry for the doubt guys. Just going on experience.

That certainly looks like an SLA prototype. So there's a very good chance the entire fan was created just for us. I'm impressed!

It would be amusing if these made-for-RC fans eventually found their way into other, unrelated products; exactly the reverse of what some of us were assuming!

I've used it for countless things in the hobby, at work, and around the house. I've never once used it on a shoe.

Pitchers love it. I always dragged my right toe on follow through in my pitching days and would wear out the right cleat quick. A nice coat of shoe goo kept them going.
