Any updates on this car. I have purchased one of these and I am very happy with its performance out of the box.
Just wanting to know if others are running the car and be able to share setup tips.
Regards,
Calvin

I ran my car at the recent NSW State Titles. I assembled the car per kit with the following changes. I placed a 1mm shim under the outer rear hub linkage and placed a 2mm shim under the steering knuckle linkage to make the steering link sit straighter.
If time had of permitted I would have tried a heavier rear diff oil, than the kit supplied 1000 weight oil. Tomorrow I will be trying 2000 weight oil and a different motor combination.
The car was very easy to drive and had alot of steering. I unfortunately was out motored on the day and finished 10th in the A group.
For my first meet with the car I was extremely happy with its performance on the track.

Normally I run it with 1.3mm front swaybar and I'm testing with and without the small optional carbon piece linking together the bulkheads.
In the first race of my national I finished 3rd and I'm still trying to "read" the car. I'm using 3K oil in the rear diff and if the grip comes up I usual use 5K oil.
I'll create the setup I've used for that race and post it in the web site.
I'll try to keep this thread updated :P

I had a test day at our local track last Sunday. I made some changes to the car as advised by a fellow racer, which improved my car. I removed the top deck screws from the motor brace and the screw from the post. I added 2mm shim to the outer rear hub and a 1mm shim to the front knuckle.
I also added the carbon fiber braces to the front and rear bulkheads. I noticed before placing on the track the car was now alot smoother in the drivetrain and also the car now had more flex.
I retained the rest of the kit settings, although myndroop is now 5.5 front, 4.5 rear. Ride height is 5.2mm front and 5.4mm rear. Yellow front spring and green rear with kit supplied oil and oil gearbdiff was still 1000 weight.
The car now is now alot smoother on the track and went where I wanted. I was happier with these settings, but still have some other ideas I want to test. I am considering placing front arm sweep using a 0.6mm shim on the front front suspension mount and fitting the capricorn pink spring to the front.
Also the car had more speed, so I was happy with this testing, just want to refine my setup more. As there was no timing I will have to wait until this weekend for timed practice.
Car is certainly improving every run and it is only a matter of time until I find the settings that suit my driving.
Hope to see some more feedback from others running this car.

Calvin.

Ultraspeed84,
My car and spares are from CapricornRC Australia, located in Melbourne Australia. They have provided me with great service and setup advice. If you are located in the USA, you could try CapricornRC America and ask if they have the Lab Te03, electric car.
I am very happy with my car and parts support.

There's not much activity here guys. A guy at my local track has one and he loves it. I'll lay my hands on it soon once I sell my Serpent.
