I understand on the whole screw thing. These cars have a TON of screws holding that cover on. I'm shocked that extra length actually works with that belt. Tell your friend he's amazing for knowing a temporary replacement for you. The ones I have made are the stock tooth count but are around .5mm wider than stock. They seem to fit okay, but just barely. It takes a bit longer to break them in but they last forever so it seems. Glad to hear you have yours running.

I believe the 3mm (339mm vs 336mm) difference on the TA05 and losi rear belt 's length is neglegible. I am running a high turn brushed motor (23 turns) as recommended by my friend. Brushless power and lipo can really damage the drivetrain parts of old kits.

I am happy with the kits performance now as I have seem to mesh to pinion and spur gears properly. Sad, since none of the belts have arrived, it has been 48 days now.

Got a parcel notice yesterday. Went to the post office this morning and got the package. It was received on June 30 at the central post office, and July 6 at the local post office. Parcel notice was dated July 7 but only received it yesterday, July 11. Paid $1 for the parcel/notice.

Soooo glad you finally got them. I never knew it took so long to get them to you over there. I've shipped all over the world and yours is by far the longest shipment I've ever seen.

Installed the belt last night, the ta05 belt did not show any signs of wear, no rubber dust on the gears and tunnel. The belt from Josh "fit like glove" as he described it, definitely better fit than the ta05 belt. It looks and feels sturdy since it's wider than the ta05 belt, and may take some time to be broken in.

I have noticed that with the new belt it had less free wheel after releasing the throttle. I guess the added contact surface between the new belt and the diff gear causes this, plus the fact that the new belt has not been broken in.

The Ta05 belt will have less friction and more free wheel, the belt from Josh will be more durable.

Well you are a nice bunch of fellows so I am just passing by to say hello and telling you that I am sorry to have sold my SW years ago, it was a nice car, not the easiest to work on, but when dialled it was really good on the track.

Keep racing those SW
