Default Are these typical deadshort numbers??

I have been playing around with some older GP3300 packs. I charge them on a GFX at 6V and .4 cutoff. I discharge at 30A to 5.4. I deadshorted one of the packs over night to see what results I got. I thought my IR would drop. My avg V increased a little. Are these packs junk for stock racing? Should I have deadshorted for a shorter time?

I honestly think that you have to deadshort more than once to really get the effects of the procedure. But I'm not too sure...

You are correct it takes a few cycles to actualy see the differance and effect of dead shorting I have seen a huge differance in my packs since I started dead shorting but it was not imediate either it has taken some time but also sometimes a pack is to far gone and it doesnt make a differance but it's definately worth trying.

The ONLY way dead shorting will give you the results you want is to do it from day one. Soon as you build a pack tray it, cycle it then dead short it.
You cant start on old packs and expect them to give you good numbers.
