Ran my TF7 in 13.5 for the first time on the weekend. Initial experience was very positive, getting a little understeer mid corner and corner exit. Thinking of reducing rear toe by a half degree.

Does anyone know the weight of the standard springs on the TF7? I have the dimensions, (1.5x4.63x25), but all my other springs have a weight rating. Be handy to cross reference these.
Google did not seem to help..

Default Gear Mesh

I was curious about the 1 piece motor mount. Can you change the pinion and spur like you can in a normal car or...? Also would this be a good speed run on the street/race on the weekend car? I would obviously put some grip tape on the bottom to protect the chassis!

Has anyone experimented with chassis flex by adding /removing bolts in the top deck?

Thoughts or results you may have had this way?

Default Major TF7 developments

Holy crap, just when you think Kyosho have abandoned the TC racer, they drop a bombshell:

TF7 Major Upgrade Kit

Yeah that's right. After doing nothing in about 2 years, they've made a belt tensioner! Amazing.

It is a little disappointing. I bought my TF7 on the grounds that Kyosho had such a long standing reputation. But there appears to be very little support, and very few drivers. So where at my local track there's a group of 4 or 5 guys all running the new Yokomo BD8, and all sharing info to speed up development, for Kyosho, there's me. Having said that, I am happy with the car. I'm turning as good a laps as the BD8 running the same motor and tyres.
I remember seeing Hara testing new shocks and towers, did anything come of that?

I bought the previous model, the TF-6 for the same reason, unfortunately parts availability and support forced me to cut my losses and move on. It's a nice kit, great quality and I love the red anodising. If it works for you and you can support the car then maybe hold onto it. Good luck racing with it.

Anyone know any top racers running the TF7 anymore? Krapp running Yokomo very rarely see any mention of the TF7.
