Batteries Troubleshooting
I have a couple of sanyo 3600 stickpacks. One of them shorted i guess.
It cant charge at 5 amps and is stuck at around 3.1 to 3.3 amps...
One of the cells also sort of heated up the most while charging.
And the other pack .. it charged normally at my 4.5amps..
But i dunoe why it doesnt deliver any punch. it feels as though i m running an almost empty pack.
And i noticed on this pack, some cells have a few little dots of cracks.
Like something chipped off. Did those batteries overheat and crack?
Can assume their death ?
So my plan is to dismantle the packs to get it to be side by side packs.
BUT... i need advise on troubleshooting the batteries.
wad do i need and wad do i do ?
Thankz !

#1 who is than maker of these packs? The 3600 packs have been noted to have problems.I would check to see if all the cells are correctly soldered together meaning +-+-+- or vise versa....I had some 3600 matched packs i bought from a guy out of canada on ebay and they where junk.Even know everything was matched right the cells didnt have much punch and didnt hold a very good charge.

meaning tat the batt pack doesnt have foil or something connecting inbetween..

why not try dumping your pak . then putting them on an equalizing tray .. then charge them up .. if your not equalizing them be fore you charge there is voltage already in some of the cells .. which will cause one or more cells to heat up and your batteries will not charge correctly ...
