Best Touring car for rubber tires???
All of the top cars are great. Odds are you will never be able to push the car to the limits that make one of these cars better than the other. Only the very best drivers do this so any of the cars from this list:
Xray FK05
Tamiya 415MSX
Tamiya Evo 4
Losi JRXS
Corally RDX
Schumacher MI2
HPI Pro 4 Hara Ed.
HB Cyclone
AE TC4
These are expensive cars, so you can try lesser value cars that are great and won't break you.
Tamiya TA05
Xray FK04
AE TC3
Losi XXX-S
HPI Pro 3 or 4
Tamiya 414 MII
Tamiya Evo 3 Surk
Some of these are older models, but are solid cars.

For rubber carpet I tried about everything out there (I run rubber-carpet exclusively) I'm sticking with my TC4 man! The Pro4 is a great car too but I had problems with drivetrain durability. I prefer not to comment on the XRay '04 though

Tamiya 415MSX was designed for rubber tyre. the rest can be set up for it but are mostly made for the amercian foam market. the tamiya comes with a spool or oneway I forget which one. and you have to get the multi diff for the xray if you buy it in the states. I'm not 100% sure on that though. and associated and hpi come with diffs so you have to buy something extra would make me think it's not intended for a rubber tyre market. as with the tamiya you have to get a yok from diff and shim it to run foam with it which would make it a bad choice for foam.

Let me add my .02 cents. Buy the Yokomo BD; it's great on carpet and rubber tires.

Got burned by HB, never again will get close to any HB products. Check it for yourself, go to thier site & look around for parts & tech. inf on thier cars. You want a good car with part & tech support then go for Yokomo, Mugen, Xraay & HPI.

I think you can go check out the results of the recent IIC.
The foam mod was won by Marc Rheinard on a 415MSX,so the notion of 415 is only design for rubber is not true.
The rubber mod was won by Atsushi Hara using the cyclone.
So all car are good. But still depends a lot on the driver. We are not on the same level as Marc and Hara, where thecar really does matters.

Ben.C - I was talking with the Tech crew from the IIC. Marcs 415 was basicly a one off car. It had a huge 3.5+ mill chassis with areas for the bulk head shaved.
Snowy.
