I'm looking at getting a tire truer for my new 1/12th car and I'm looking at an Integy model online at the moment.

If I'm reading this right I need to get a 1/12th adaptor from Corally/Hudy etc for the 1/12th wheels , I get that much lol.

But what I can't find is information on the following.

Do truers come with a scale/truing stop built in so you can set the diameter you want and not go to far OR do you have to take them off to measure them?

I also can't find any info on fitting front wheels, does that need another adaptor again?

From what I can gather 1.85 inch is a good size for the rear but I've never seen any info of what/if any truing is required for the front (let alone a starting diameter).

So if the 1.85 inch for the rear is correct what would I need for the front?

Yes, you will want to true front & rears.

It all depends on which wheels you have for the arbor.(flanged or non-flanged)

I have the Ofna auto and a couple arbors.

Maybe for sale soon as no local rug anymore.

I think most truers have a scale on the tool holder that shows the diameter, my Hudy does.

I sold all my Hudy arbors and bought the RC4Less one, it is great. It has worked on every 1/10th and 1/12th wheel I have tried so far. Nice to be able to do all types without changing arbors.

A friend has a hudy that he likes.
We bought an integy but then needed to buy the hudy bit
to get that smooth cut, but we had to file it down to fit.
we had to buy a 1/10th & a 1/12th arbor.
it does have 2mm increments on the depth gauge.
it is also a good idea to have a 25-30amp power supply
so that the truer does not bog down.
plus, don't forget a file to bevel the outer edges!!!
