TC waterproofing solutions please
Hi,
I race last weekend and it was very wet,I used liquid electrical tape but water got in and blew up my speedo,
Could people post pics to a better solution and ones that are proven to work,

I bought a waterproof HW 3.1. As far as I know HW did produce 50 of thouse. I do not know if they still are available.

We race a lot in the rain over here, otherwise we would never get any racing.

Previous car, but you get the idea;
Sensor board in motor is covered in PCB 'conformal coating' andf the sensor cable end is sealed with silicone (although now I would use Shoe-Goo)

I just built a Tamiya TT02 for wet running. We used a Traxxas waterproof servo. Traxxas waterproof speed controller and a Traxxas waterproof receiver box. Obviously not a 'racing' car but wet racing in the US is pretty rare (both full size and RC).

Fill the hole case with Plastidip. Works perfect.
In the early day's the LRP QC2 and QC3 where filled up with Epoxy (or something). The whole printboard was coverd in epoxy, so there couldn't come any water near.
I use the same technique, but then with PlastiDip. This flued becomes rubbery after it's dry and works like a charm! Servo, Receiver, speedo, sensorboard.
Main thing is I do this with all my electronics, without thinking is it going to be dry or wet today. My normal dry racing electronics are waterproofed, so when it starts raining I can just cary on racing. Don't need any additional waterproofing! So easy!
