Hi all,

Does anyone run the HPI Sprint 2 with diff oil or stay with grease?

I'm thinking of removing the grease from mine and use 3000 silicone diff oil instead. This will be to coincide with 2s Lipo and brushless 17.5T motor.

I'm re-building mine over the next few days, so it would be great to get your recommendations.

the sprint 2 diffs, (or mine at least) don't come with o rings sealing the outdrives, and only have a bushing and the case. When i used diff oil in my sprint 2 diffs they leaked, and so i had to use a very heavy oil (60,000) i think. I'm not sure 3000 would stay in very well.

Wow that's a heavy oil. I always thought anything over 5000 was too thick. I'll give it a go anyway and see if they leak.
