Default What's the latest in large E onroad?

I've been out of the game for awhile. What's the latest in terms of electric 1/8 scale of larger electric cars? When I got out a few years ago guys were converting Serpent 950s to LiPo power. Are there now dedicated kits that are electric in kit form? Haven't done a lot of my own research just yet. Just thought I'd peak into RC Tech since I haven't been active for some time. By the way, my intentions are to have a nice competitve kit but more than likely will not get to race. No time these days. I just want to have something nice that I can power up and drive once in awhile.

Thanks

Edit: Started looking around and found the Kyosho Inferno GT2 VE. Looks to be based on the Inferno buggy.

The Serpent Cobra GTe is a very quick GT car which is based on the Cobra buggy platform. It seems to be the one that is winning most of the class. If you want something crazy fast then look no further than the Serpent 977e on 6s lipo.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll definitely look into the L8ight conversion and Serpent cars.
