Anybody put shims underneath the lower suspension arm mounts? Installed the new lower suspension arms yesterday and they seem to sit much lower on the chassis than the old ones.

Regards, Gero

You may want to use maybe like 1.0mm under the lower arm. You really want to have the same roll center as before.

Pics on page 35 and page 38 help, but you are generally on your own.

It fits! Works Very smooth. 12R6/10F6 rear pivot.

Test and tune Saturday at Banana.

Anybody got a good starting set up for low to medium bite asphalt. My kit came with gold front springs that seem awfully stiff.

How well did the new pivot work? Do you have the part number for the new pivot?

For front springs, I suggest using the Yokomo r12 black front springs. You should be able to find them at A Main.

For set up:

Front:

-2.0mm under knuckle, 0.5mm above. Rest of shims, use so that the upper arm and lower arm pivot balls don't bind on the eclip. I usually install 3 shims up top and the rest at the bottom
-0.3-0.5mm droop
-3.8-4.0 mm ride height
-3 degrees of caster
-1.5 deg of camber
-Kyosho 30,000 blue grease on tube

Rear:

-Kyosho 15,000 side tube lube
-RSD green side spring
-AE Gold Center Spring
-1.0mm pod droop
-30wt center shock.
-2mm under outside of side tubes
+2 mm wheelbase
4.0mm ride height
-170mm track width
-XRAY Side links

That should about cover it I think
