Default BATTERY HELP!!!

I am attempting, unsuccessfully so far, to find sub "C" flat top cells to make battery packs to race my Xray T2-007, I would like to find 5000 mAH, if possible or 4600's............Can anyone help????

Why would you want to use sub-c cells when LiPo is a much better battery performance and maintenance wise? If you go to HobbyKing you can find a 2S Lipo pack cheaper than finding sub-c cells.

^^^^I agree! Why source and build sub C packs and come to find out that they're heavier and more importantly, SLOWER. Lipos can be used multiple times a day without any ill effects.

Default Lipo in T2

Battery will not fit under top plate. Have mine off to the side of it. I do have to agree lipo is the way to go.

To keep the car balanced the lipo will need to hang out the side and have weight added. So not fitting under the top deck doesn't matter

Whilst I agree that lipo is the way to go, if our friend insists on the old school sub-c batteries, intellect still produces a 5000mah 7.2v sub-c pack IB_50006D2S which will fit the T2 and there is a seller on e-bay selling them right now!

I raised my top deck up by gluing shims carbon fiber shims to bottom of top deck but this was a 007 had a t2 also and cut the nub off of it to gain clearance

ORCA has a 6000mah battery now called the performance plus line. Its also lightweight at 265 grams and lower profile case. I know it fits under a corally top deck from a sub c car and should fit under the xray as well. If you still need something I can measure the thickness tonight and see how tall it is.
