Do you need a chassis for the new car or the older one?

Default MTS FF PRO V2

Just got both the V1 and V2. I am going to do comparison of the 2. Already noticing both cars need to be completely rebuilt. I'd think they would do better off and not even build the car for you. There are some build problems like not all the shock shafts are the same length, the droop screws are crooked, and it looks like it's just rushed. I believe with all the battery modifications they should have had it where you can put the shorty pack even further back. The car needs alot of rear weight. Car wants to spin out off power in mid turn. Going to make some adjustments to tune that out. The car is fast, faster than my Sakura FF, Tamiya FF04, or my Top Racing FF. Will post picks and set ups as I run it more.

Older one, but as I said the new chassis plate looks the same as the old one? Am I correct?

No, the chassis' are not the same. The new Chassis uses split front and rear suspension mounts, the old chassis used a one piece That is the main difference.

Here's some setup sheets for the MTS FF V2

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxU...lNYWwzcU0/view
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxU...xIZzFFRm8/view

Diff oil run 1000000

Picked up the car recently. Based of T4 parts so I believe the arms and hubs are interchangeable at least. Not sure about the diff and drive shafts. Will get there when I need to.

Car basically needed to be rebuilt when bought. Don't understand why it's ARR. Everything had some bind in it so reaming, some light filing etc was needed but at least it wasn't sloppy! I changed to ti turnbuckles and ball cups to x-ray ones.

We'll see how it goes this weekend

I have upgrade my MTS's suspension to xray and used the 52mm xray shafts. Everything fits perfectly

Sorry, i mean ECS drive shaft, not suspension!

Anyway, thanks.

About another problem, in fact if i use Xray ECS and diff then i need to swap entire parts of T4(C hub, steering knuckle) in to MTS.

Could anyone tell me if i change entire steering parts would change drastically MTS behaviour?

Thanks!

I will test my car this weekend (hopefully). When using the xray diff you have to use the MTS diff 'cups' (the plastic part that fits over the bearings) otherwise the diff binds. I've used 50mm xray shafts, I can't see why you cant use the 52mm ecs shafts, everything is xray so should work. I have also used xray shocks, 100 times better than the mts shocks.

Keep in mind when doing the swop/upgrade, the bearings in the steering block is different, so when you upgrade the steering blocks you have to use the xray shafts and then you have to use a xray diff as the shafts do not fit perfectly in the MTS diff.

I think the only difference will be the that the suspension parts won't be as brittle as the stock mts parts and xray parts are freely available. Will report back on the behavior once I put the car on the track
