Well Peak and Orion are the same motors just different colors and stickers. Don't know about Checkpoint.

Its one of those 'which is the Best ______' thread...

1st things 1st,the Orion and the Peak its the same motor.Came from the same factory with different stickers on it.

I use the Orion and Peak motors, cause I'm a very lazy person whereby I don't like the hassle of truing my motor every 3-4 runs, and I run low turn motors,so the rate of wear is higher and thus needs more truing.Due to the brush config, the V2 motors tends to have less brush bounce and thus reducing arching and comm wear.So I can last the whole day of racing with that motor and still have power for the last run.

The downside of the motor is that changing of the Brush and springs is a little complicated ,while compared to the checkpoint. But I only do maintenence at home.So its alright for me.

TTSO-It's people like you that piss off the brushed crowd. This wasnt a question of brushed or brushless but you just THOUGHT you had to throw your .02 cents in.
Thanks but NO thanks.
He asked about brushed motor's.If you dont have knowledge or experience to answer the question then PLEASE waste your breathe elsewhere, your using up my oxygen.Brushless man.lol.
Im totally kidding so if you take this personal I feel VERY sorry for you.

Orion/Peak Motor's-I like them BUT........Kind of a pain when rebuilding, pain to solder to at times.Important Note-If you run a 12 buy an 11 and Im not a big fan of the power band of these motor's.While smooth I like the GRUNT most mods give me.
Checkpoints.VERY strong motor's that are easier to rebuild, stay fast and last as long or close to the Orion/Peaks before rebuilding is needed and you dont have to drop a wind to get the same power as other mods.I like the power band as well.
