Seriously?

This disrespects all the other names on the list who earned an invite based on their exploits as racers of actual rc touring cars.
It devalues what has been a very noble concept for such a long time.

You have a right to your opinion but I disagree.

The traditional way to pick drivers was to take the top-10 from the Euros, ROAR Nats, Japanese Nats, and most recent Worlds. Mike Reedy would then add some guys who he thought were interesting, good, or simply willing to make the trip. it is not easy to find 32 guys that are willing to attend.

Things have changed since the good old days. The fast guys don't necessarily attend the traditional events. Events like the IIC, Snowbirds, and ETS exist are equally as prestigious and competitive if not more so. We decided to use some of these other events to fill the field with qualified candidates knowing that not all will attend.

If Kevin was a gamer with no R/C car experience, he would not have been included. But he is an accomplished R/C racer who won the Italian Nats in 2013 and just missed the podium in 2014.

Is there someone you think should be on the list who is not?

For this event I'd much rather see fast moving TCs. I hope it continues that way.

Just a suggestion. Although one of these guys may already be on the list by the time the race is run, perhaps the winner of the (Eastern) Canadian Nationals. Hand in hand with that, maybe the winner of the TC Mod class of the Western Canadian Indoor Championships, (WCIC).

Thumbs up 17.5

I hope there is a 17.5 class this year .
It would be nice to see a true stock class come back for us amateurs.

I want to enter this race but I've never driven 13.5, now I'm going to start 13.5 soon so I can enter the race but having a 17.5 class would be great for me as well.

The three racers who are most likely to win Modified TC at the Canadian Nats are all invited already. Paul Lemieux, Keven Hebert and Andrew Hardman are all invitational drivers. If someone else manages to win it over these guys, then ya, they probably deserve an invite to the Reedy race, but the chances of that happening aren't very high.

Me personally, I'm not interested in seeing a 17.5 class.

I'd like the Reedy Race to showcase the elite racers who run in the Invitational Class and fast guy in Modified. 17.5 is fun, but I'd rather not see it for this event.

Looking forward to seeing this race go down. Should be awesome.

A USGT/GT10 funster class would be more interesting to me than a 17.5 class, which looks the same, but slower than 13.5

I'm sure it will be an EPIC event either way
