hey wat does dead shorting batteries do and does it matter wat gage wire you use.

well basically it lowers the Ir thus increasing the voltage..but you have to sacfrifice runtime.

i heard a lot of people use solder between the 2 terminals..if the solder burns/melts then there is to much charge in the packs, if it doesnt melt then its fine.

make sure the cell have 0 volts before you do it

There's no point deadshorting your packs if you are not a serious racer looking for the absolute max in performance. Deadshorting will decrease the the pack's overall life.

And if you are a serious racer, the overall life of the battery doesn't matter anyway. There will probably be a new and better battery in a few months.
