Hapless Racer almost Laid out by Ginormous trophy

A perfect podium was almost destroyed when another Euro racer lost control of his oversized cup of glory.

Only the cat like reflexes of the Red Bull addled 3rd place finisher saved him from being brained into a catatonic state. "Thank god I was not distracted by a trophy girl"

This often seems like a useless announcement: "i need turn marshals out there, if you just ran you should be turn marshaling."

Just phrase it differently: 'We are missing turn marshals, I've given Joe the cattle prod and a list of the marshals who should be up, he is approaching the pits now.'

I suppose a cattle prod works better than a big stick!

Anything that is screamed instead of spoken through the PA.

Like: "Whoa! there's big pile up between driver X and driver y in the", several loud crashing sounds, "sweeper". Please just say calmly "sweeper", and go back to time left, lap times and leader board. This is racing which requires calm nerves and a firm grip. Someone just shouting does nothing for me, but break my concentration and give everyone a headache. It provides no one watching the race anything they didn't already see.

I prefer caution in the XXX(place of crash or marshal on the track)

This can usually be heard about a minute to a minute-thirty into the first qualifier:

Race Announcer: "Leader and second place coming up on lapped traffic"

*Series of loud bangs and some muffled cussing*

Race Announcer: "From fifth all the way to first in one lap, your new leader is Mike on a 27 lap, 6:04. Jim is out with breakage."

There is none beyond hoping the guy getting lapped doesn't freak out and just destroy the guy doing the lapping.

We could always just play video games where the Mario carts just bounce off each other....

Drivers meeting pre race and communicating on the stand. The drivers need to make that known to each other, not the Race Announcer. That 1:30 mark should be "nice pass executed by" and preceded at the 1:00 mark by "back markers, please be aware that others are coming up behind you quickly". Then they can run into the wall all by themselves when startled.

Yeah, we screwed up. I'm sorry.

I wish I had a picture of a really bored trophy girl to post, like from the IIC a couple of years back.
