I want to see something like an r/c decathlon. One driver has to take his one vehicle and compete with it in an oval, on-road, off-road, rally, drift, drag, etc... race. The car would have to stay basically the same during the entire competition. Maybe allow different tires or shocks depending on the type of race. Maybe a different body as well.

Let's see how good the best r/c racer's are when they have to do it all in one event.

1/12th pan, 4wd tc, 2wd buggy. Run a single main for each catagory and run it like a tripple amain. Best 2 out of 3 takes it.

As far as injecting a healthy dose of credibility into sport of RC car racing a ranking system by country and worldwide (under same system) for "individual" RC racers would probably go a long at this point.
A system modeled after ITTF, ATP or similar customized for RC.
All prominent classes no matter how many (any scale/any power source) should be ranked i.e. TC 17.5/13.5/mod - F1 21.5 electric - GT 17.5 - Mini 2wd 21.5 etc etc same for offroad, nitro & gas too!....simpler than it may seem....needs a world organizing body existing or new to set up and manage.
