Battery life (not run time)
I found this on Team Trinitys site:
"How many charges should I get for the lifetime of my pack?
We have packs in a controlled environment that went well over 40 runs with numbers consistent to the first run. After that, they are still good enough for practice or stock racing, but their best discharges are gone forever. Runtime will suffer first on older packs."
Now, I'm racing at a casual club level and I dont want to buy new packs for every 40 runs.
So I wonder, do someone know how big performance degradation there's talked about?
And are there any ways to prolong lifetime?
Do some of you have any hard evidence, that proves that lower charge rate prolong lifetime?
FYI: I'm already using an reasonably peak detect charger, I always store packs discharged and I'm using an active equalizer. And I let my packs cool down before next charge. I'm using Sanyo cells, NiCd1700, NiCd2000, NiCd2400 and NiMh3000 HV.
