It's, um, not too bad.....?

La Quinta. Good rate with a AAA or corporate discount and close to the track (and a Denny's if you hate your heart.) Full list is on our MHIC website at the following location:

About what time would the racing end on the last night (the 19th)? I'm looking at flights .... Would a return flight home at 10:00 pm be pushing it? Thanks!

I think we usual finish somewhere between 3:30-4:30 pm. So a 10 pm flight out would give you ample time.

If it snows again this year, like it did last year, it might be damn cold in an RV!

Awesome to see the Goodwine's making the trip. I just signed up so I have to go now!

Is this race conducive to running both 17.5 and 13.5 sedan with the same car?

What I mean is, are the two classes separated enough that you'd have time to switch motors? Is this something commonly done?

Are both of the above classes 'blinky'?

Just kicking around an idea. Thanks

Hey Chad, I've done that exact thing in the past and it's been fine. We try to stack the classes in such a way that people have time.

All non-mod classes are blinky.

Also thanks to all the folks signing up! Lots and lots of new faces this year as well as a bunch of return visitors. Love that! The race is now over 1/3 full.

Chad, a couple guys from our group ran both classes with the same car and they had plenty of time. You should have no worries.

I am giving this some serious consideration but it looks like I would need help with a driving position if I do come. I am in a wheelchair so I cannot use your stand as it sits due to the stairs and the inability to see the track with other racers. This is what we did at my local track. Are there any solutions that would allow me to race in this event? As you can see in these images, my view in red is obstructed by the other racers due to my legs and sitting position forcing me behind the rail approx. 2ft. Not to mention the rail is probably right at my eye level hiding the track completely. I really would like to come race there and willing to make the drive from Houston, TX with about 6-8 others.

We actually have a small platform that we have used in the past for this exact thing. We usually have to lift you on and off of it in your chair but we have managed to make it work quite well in the past. We have had another racer visit us in the past that required this type of access, so I think we would have you covered. Looking forward to seeing you at the race!
