Anyone know for certain if the new motor mount is compatible with the old ultimate chassis?

Well from looking at xi sport I've got its not going to work on that and i can't see it being compatible with old ultimate.

i was just looking at these the other day. 3 racing has always had nice cars for the price! $250 isnt all that bad. now i just need to know if they will stay together....

i doubt it would be. looks different to me chassis to chassis

looks like a cheap and feature packed car. Had good luck with the old XI, this one looks very promising

Just finished building one of these, does anyone know of other makes of spring sets that will fit? Theres no release date for the 3 Racing set and it would be nice to get some track time with it

How did the car go together? At $250, this car seems to be a very good deal. Interested to see how the quality is.

It was a good build, had to shim the spool (shims not supplied) and had 5 steel countersunk screws missing but other than that, a good quality kit with some good design features

That's funny as i had screws missing to and the diff gasket was stuffed. Good thing i had spares.

Hi.
I build mine yesterday. More than 5 screws were missing and the battery stopper for the motormount was missing to. In the manual page 19 on pic 2 the stopper is not installed and on pic 3 the stopper is installed....

so lots of missing parts i suppose.. have some spare screws handy. How's the diff on this one, the old sakura xi had pretty bad gear diffs.

subzero2k- just noticed that with mine too, used the screw and washer from the supplied turnbuckle pliers with a spare spacer.

tobyzhang- diff feels ok but Ive not had a chance to run the car yet, still waiting for springs to run on carpet with

2 packs later the diff seems to be ok and no leaks i did however use my own gasket as kit one was split in two.
And i used anti were grease
